Luther R. Mann, 76, of Boone Township, Indiana, passed away at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Luther was born in Boone Township, Indiana, on April 8, 1943, to Ralph and Hilda (Hoffman) Mann. He married Lou Ella Kieffner on May 14, 1966, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville. 

He was a 1961 graduate of Ireland High School. He was a United States veteran serving in the Army Reserves. Luther was a lifetime farmer. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper where he served on the church council and several committees. He was also part of the Young Farmers, where he previously received an award for outstanding farmer of the year. He was previously on the advisory board for Boone Township and the Dubois County 4-H board. He enjoyed fishing and was a student pilot, who loved flying. 

He is survived by his wife, Lou Ella Mann of Boone Township; two sons, Jeffery (Lisa) Mann of Boone Township and Timothy (Nicole) Mann of Wooster, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Brittney (Alex) Lagerman, Lauren (Samuel) Ebenkamp, and Kaitlyn Mann, Olivia (Morgan) Clevenger, Ethan, Logan, and Jillian Mann; one great-grandson, Henry Ebenkamp; one brother, Paul (Linda) Mann of Jasper; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Preceding him in death are one sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Harold Eck, and one nephew, Steve Mann. 

Funeral services for Luther R. Mann will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Boone Township. Pastor Adam Ruschau will officiate. 

A visitation will be held from noon until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
