Lucille M. Wehr, 90, Ireland

Lucille M. Wehr, 90, of Ireland, Indiana, passed away at 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
Lucille was born in Ireland, Indiana on September 23, 1926, to Robert and Anna (Weidenbenner) Steinhart. She married Pete Wehr Jr. on November 12, 1946, in St. Mary’s Church. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2006.
Lucille retired from Leeds Selling Tools after 25 years of service. She also worked for the Jenco service station in Jasper. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland and their St. Anne’s Society. She was also a member of the Ireland Sportsman’s Club.
She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, working with ceramics and was a sports fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Wehr of Ireland and Linda Lassen of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; one son, Greg Wehr and wife Mary of Bretzville; four grandchildren, Scott Lassen, Mike Wehr, Luke Wehr, and Emily Hultin; three step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; two brothers, Jack Steinhart and wife Evelyn of Dale, and Donnie Steinhart and wife Marilyn of Jasper.
Preceding her in death besides her husband were two sons, Mike and Patrick Wehr; one sister, Catherine Terwiske; one infant great-grandchild, Tyler Lassen; and a son-in-law, Robert Lassen.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille M. Wehr will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held from noon until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The St. Mary’s St. Anne’s Society will pray the rosary at 11:45 a.m.
