Lucille Heilers, 91

Lucille Heilers, 91, of Ferdinand, passed away, Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Scenic Hills Care Center.
Lucille was born March 25, 1923 in Ferdinand to Andrew and Caroline (Heeke) Boeglin. She married Linus Heilers on October 11, 1947 in Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church. Linus passed away on June 30, 1971.
Lucille was a former switchboard operator at the Monastery of Immaculate Conception. She was a member of Saint Ferdinand Parish and St. Anns Sodality; Monastery of Immaculate Conception prayer line. Lucille enjoyed baking and praying the Rosary.
Lucille is survived by, three sons; Tom and wife Karen of Louisville, Ky., John of Columbia, Ky., Fred and wife Dianne of Ferdinand; two daughters, Karen Sue Ferguson and husband Bruce of Greenwood, Ind. and Mary Heilers of Mesquite, Tex.; one sister, Rose Mae Kline and husband James of Ferdinand; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Linus; three brothers, Alphonse, Ralph and Ted Boeglin; five sisters, Frieda Olinger, Elnora Hedinger, Leona Lueken, Mary Etta Merkley and Hattie Boeglin.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 4th from 2-8 p.m. and Friday from 7:00-9:30 a.m. at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Benedict.
