Lowell A. Pyle, 79, Ferdinand

Lowell A. Pyle, 79, of Ferdinand, and formerly of Princeton, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Brookside Village in Jasper.

He was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Pike County to Lowell Henry and Ruby Carol (Skelton) Pyle.

In 2003, Lowell retired from Farbest Foods in Huntingburg where he had worked in sanitation. He had also delivered papers for the Evansville Courier for many years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA.

Lowell is survived by three sons, Jeffery Pyle of Huntingburg, David Pyle of Paducah, Ky., and Michael Ferguson of Ferdinand, who was also his caregiver; stepdaughter, Rebecca Pierson (Roger) of Fort Wayne; brother, John Pyle (Carolyn) of Princeton; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Lou (Dunn) Pyle in 2020, and to whom he was married on Feb. 3, 1995, in Henderson, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
