Louise J. Brewster, 86

Louise J. Brewster, 86, of Jasper, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born in Jasper, Indiana on May 16, 1928 to Joseph and Rose (Gehlhausen) Buechlein.

Louise retired from the Fiesta/Mill House Restaurant after 31 years.

She is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Blessed Virgin Sodality and the Daughters of Isabella.

She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and traveling.

She is survived by her daughters, Jane Schroeder and husband Stan, of Jasper, Barbara Wright and husband Alan, of Huntingburg, Lisa Harner and husband David, of French Lick, Kathy Sitzman and husband James, of Huntingburg, and Angie Cox, of Jasper; son, Wayne Buechlein and his wife Dianne, of Paris, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Alicia Taylor, Aaron Buechlein, Amanda Smith, Adam Wright, Brad and Derek Sitzman, Thomas Harner, Tyler and Matthew Cox; also 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are sisters, Agnes A. Schuler, Clara Kreilein, Veronica Schmidt and Carolyn Jackey. Brothers, Leander, Urban, George, Carl and August Buechlein.

Funeral services for Louise J. Brewster will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (July 19, 2014), in Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday, (July 18, 2014) at Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before service at church.

Combined rosary will be held at 1:30 pm. By the Blessed Virgin Sodality, D of I’s and the St. Ann’s Society.
