Louise (Burgdorf) Riddle, 87

Louise (Burgdorf) Riddle, age 87 of Linton, died at 1:05 A.M. Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Glenburn Home in Linton.  She was born in Huntingburg on Sept. 3, 1924, the daughter of Carl & Anna Burgdorf.  Louise was a homemaker, and once her children were raised, she graduated from Indiana University for Respiratory Therapy.  She retired from Greene County General Hospital Respiratory Dept. in Linton.  She was a member of the Saron United Church of Christ, Saron Ladies Guild, the Greene County General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and the Bridge Club, all of Linton.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark (Emily) Riddle of Columbia, MD and Bruce (Sally) Riddle of Columbus, a brother, John Burgdorf of Huntingburg, a sister, Margaret Schultz of Wausau, Wisconsin, six grandchildren, Carl, Julia, Eric, Kurt, & Maria Riddle, and Suzanne Koefoed, and two great-grandchildren, Nela & Isaac.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James G. Riddle on Aug. 1, 2002.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, 140 E. Vincennes St., Linton, IN 47441, on Monday from 5:00 – 7:30 P.M., and Tuesday at the Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg at 10:00 A.M. until service.

Funeral Service will be held at the Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg at 12 noon Tuesday, January 17, 2012, Rev. Mike Roth officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Memorial Contributions can be given to Saron Church, Shawnee Theatre, or ALS through the funeral home.
