Loretta Seckinger, 84, St. Meinrad

Loretta Seckinger, 84, of St. Meinrad, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at her home.

Loretta was born in Perry County on April 14, 1940, to Victor and Anna (Schwartz) Berger.

She married Leo Seckinger in St. Boniface Catholic Church on November 22, 1962. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2003. 

Loretta was a member of St. Boniface Parish. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and flowers. 

Loretta is survived by a daughter, Doris (Jim) Glenn of Ferdinand; two sons, Mark Seckinger of Dale and Kevin Seckinger of St. Meinrad; two brothers, Albert (Janice) Berger of Ferdinand and Leroy (Nancy) Berger of Jasper; a sister, Maryetta Boehm of St. Meinrad; two grandchildren, Winston (Abigail Gibson) Glenn and Colton (Hannah Borden) Glenn; great-grandchild, Grayson Glenn.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Leo and a brother, Paul Berger. 

Funeral services will be Friday, May 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. CDT in St. Boniface Church in Fulda. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand from 3 to 7 p.m. CDT and Friday morning at St. Boniface Church from 9:00 a.m. CDT until time of services.
