Loretta R. Chanley, 80, Bowman

Loretta R. Chanley, 80, of Bowman, Ind., passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 1, 1942, to Bernard and Katherine (Beard) Mosby. 

She married Joe Chanley, and they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on November 24. She worked in the offices of Day Oil Company and Doty Agency for many years. She was a member of White River Chapel in Bowman.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Joe Chanley; sons, Keith (Dana), Terry (Dawn) and Gary (Jennifer) Chanley; grandchildren, David, Joseph, Chase, Evan, Myiah, Logan, Carson and Leah; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Garett Chanley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at White River Chapel in Bowman with Pastor Frank Morgan officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center or to Operation Christmas Child, addresses and links available on the funeral home website.
