Lois A. Moesner, 73, Huntingburg

Lois A. Moesner, 73, Huntingburg, passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born July 27, 1943, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Fred and Irene (Bayless) Batch. She married Billy J. Moesner on August 1, 1959, at the Church of the Nazarene in Huntingburg.

Lois was a homemaker; a member of the Huntingburg High School Class of 1961, Central Christian Church and the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed following her grandkids’ sporting activities, fishing, completing woodworking projects with her husband, and watching movies and sports – especially the I.U. Hoosiers, Indianapolis Colts, and St. Louis Cardinals.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Billy J. Moesner of Huntingburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay (Linda) Moesner of Holland; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty (Mike) Egler of Jasper and Joyce (Jerry) Purviance of Huntingburg; two grandchildren, Zachary D. (Justine) Moesner of Holland and Cody M. Moesner of Holland; three great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Evelyn and Eleanor.

Funeral services for Lois A. Moesner will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Central Christian Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Pastor Paul Newland will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and also at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral.
