Local Democrats headed to the “Big Dem Weekend”
Local Dubois County Democrats will be heading to Indianapolis along with more than 2,000 other delegates for the Big Dem Weekend this Saturday, June 18.
The delegates will adopt a party platform and officially select candidates for lieutenant governor, superintendent of public instruction and attorney general.
County delegates will cast votes for national delegates that will represent the district during the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. They will also attend constituency caucuses such as College Democrats and IN Young Dems, Women’s Caucus and the Labor Caucus.
The Dubois County Democratic delegates include candidate for State Rep. Andrea Hulsman, candidate for County Commissioner Gary Eck, Heath Kluemper, Matt Brosmer, Molly Rupert, Kyle Rupert, Jason Hulsman, and James Meyer.
