Lloyd M. Ranger, 85
Lloyd M. Ranger, age 85, of Spokane Valley, Washington, formerly of Dale, Indiana, passed away at 11:20 p.m., Monday, December 24, 2012 at The Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility in Spokane, Washington.
He was born July 17, 1927 in Tennyson, Indiana to Ora and Georgia (Bender) Ranger. Lloyd spent his school years in Dale, Indiana – which he called home.
Upon graduating from high school in 1945, he signed up with the Merchant Marines and had the opportunity to sail to Eastern Europe, Western Europe and North Africa. In 1948 he enlisted with the United States Air Force and served in the U.S., Okinawa, Japan and Korea.
Mr. Ranger later worked 30 years for Sears, Roebuck and Company and after his retirement he settled in Spokane Valley, Washington.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Marion Ranger; and one sister, June (Ranger) Hoover.
He is survived by:

- Leland Ranger – Valparaiso, IN

and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Lloyd M. Ranger will be held at 11:00 a.m., (E.S.T.), on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with inurnment to follow at Dale Cemetery in Dale, Indiana. Pastor David Darling will officiate the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 9:00-11:00 a.m., (E.S.T.), on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Dale Cemetery Association.
