Lipscomb delivers four hits for Bombers victory Sunday

Guy Lipscomb’s singles in the first, second, third and seventh innings all helped lead Dubois County Bombers past Franklin Duelers 16-6 on Sunday.

Dubois County Bombers grabbed an early lead when they scored on a single by Brett Pfaadt, a single by Lipscomb, a single by Matthew Piotrowski, and a double by Mason Landers in the second inning that led to six runs.

Weston Allen led the Dubois County Bombers to victory on the mound. The righty lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out four. Mason White threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Hunter Cooper took the loss for Franklin Duelers.The bulldog went one and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and walking one.

Ryan Johnson started the game for Dubois County Bombers.The righthander lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out two

Dubois County Bombers tallied 15 hits on the day. Lipscomb, Landers, Brayden Childress, and Conner Oxley each managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Lipscomb led Dubois County Bombers with four hits in six at bats.

Payton Walsh went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Franklin Duelers in hits.
