Linus O. Buechler, 88

Linus O. Buechler, age 88, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.
Linus was born in St. Anthony, Indiana on January 7, 1926 to George and Stella (Mundy) Buechler. He married Ruth Fuhs on May 16, 1953 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.
Linus worked at Jasper Chair for over 30 years, and then retired from Styline where he had been a supervisor for many years.
He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Men’s Society of Precious Blood Catholic Church, and V.F.W. Post #673.
He enjoyed gardening and tending his pecan trees.
Linus is survived by his wife and caretaker, Ruth Buechler of Jasper; two daughters, Julie Eckert, and her husband Scott, of Jasper and Lesa Tucker, and her husband, Joe, of Vincennes; one son, Ronald Buechler, and his wife Diane, of Ferdinand; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosie Fuhs of Jasper and Mary Knust, and her husband Donald, of Ferdinand,
one brother, Charles Buechler, and his wife Betty, of Bristow.
Preceding him in death are one infant daughter, one sister, Sadie Hochgesang, and two brothers, Jacob and Robert Buechler
Funeral services for Linus O. Buechler will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper. V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Tuesday.
