Linda VanWinkle, 73, Ferdinand

Linda VanWinkle, 73, of Ferdinand, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Core Nursing and Rehab Center in Dale.

Linda was born June 13, 1945, in Perry County to Hilbert and Lorine (Wagner) Schlachter.

She retired from Masterbrand. Linda loved animals and fishing.

She is survived by a son, David (Ruth) VanWinkle of Birdseye; a daughter, Michelle Taylor of Oriole; one sister, Betty (Charles) Buechler of Adyeville; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by a son, Rick VanWinkle and a grandson, Tyler Cundiff.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. CDT in St. Meinrad Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the church Friday from 9:00 a.m. CDT until the time of services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the employees of Core Nursing for the care that was given to Linda.
