Linda Rae Painter, 81, Huntingburg

Linda Rae Painter, 81, of Huntingburg, passed away at 1:16 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home in Rockport.

She was born January 10, 1940, in Los Angeles, California, to George and Lavelle (Coulter) Dunken.

She married Gordon L. Painter.

She enjoyed cooking, being with her grandchildren and spending time with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon L, Painter, who passed away January 3, 2002; one daughter, Laura Lee Painter; and one brother, Lee Dunken.

She is survived by three daughters, Dawn (Mark) Risen of Cropwell, Alabama, Terri Lynn (Mike) McBee of Santa Claus and Pamela (Kevin) Kendall of Rockport; one son, Alan (Margaret) Painter of Huntingburg; one sister, Patty Harms of Kemp, Texas; and by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Linda Rae Painter will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, at a later date.
