Linda K. Russell, 78, Jasper

Linda K. Russell, 78, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Linda was born in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, on September 27, 1947, to Ollie and Bessie (Bashford) Keith.  She married David Russell on May 9, 1971, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky.  He preceded her in death on July 6, 2026.

She was a 1965 graduate of Montgomery County High School, and she then became a registered nurse.

She was a Nursing House Supervisor for Memorial Hospital in Jasper for 30 years.  She retired in 2012 and then became a volunteer at the Jasper Library.

She enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, stamping, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Heather (Richard) Randolph of Peoria, Ill., Sarah (John) Weber of Jasper, and Shelly Russell of Jasper; three grandchildren, Faith (Colin) Bowling, Gavin Barnett, and Gabriella Randoph, one great-grandson, Wesley Bowling; one sister, Peggy Haufler of Mount Sterling, Ky.; and one brother, John (Judy) Keith of Mount Sterling; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Keith of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death, besides her husband, are one brother, Clell Keith, and two nephews, Douglas Keith and Perry Wayne Carpenter.

A funeral service for Linda K. Russell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Enlow City Cemetery in Jasper.  Walt Ferber will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel.  The Nursing Honor Guard will hold a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
