Lincoln Night at League Stadium on Tuesday; Lincoln Maul up for grabs
HUNTINGBURG, Ind.—The Dubois County Bombers host the Springfield Sliders Tuesday, July 31, at 7:15 p.m., and the Lincoln Maul is still up for grabs.
Before the season started, the Bombers and Sliders agreed to make their rivalry worth a little extra this season, and so the rights to claim Lincoln—the maul being the symbol—would go to whoever won the 12-game series between the two squads.
So far, the Bombers are 6-4 versus the Sliders this season, and they host them Tuesday as well as the final day of the regular season, August 6.
In celebration of the chance to clinch both the season series and the Lincoln Maul, Bombers fans can purchase a general admission ticket to Tuesday’s game for their age in pennies. (Lincoln is, after all, the President on the penny.)
Those fans who cannot pay in their age in pennies can purchase a general admission ticket by rounding up to the next dollar. (So, in most cases, fans who cannot pay in pennies can buy a general admission ticket for one dollar.)
Fans who purchase a general admission ticket—again, for one dollar or less—also have the chance to upgrade to reserved seating for an additional five dollars. (Lincoln’s is the face on the five-dollar bill.)
In other words, a seven- or eight-dollar orange- or red-backed chair can be had for six dollars or less.
The Bombers will also offer two-dollar Bud drafts.
Also all playoff tickets are available as of Monday, July 30. Ggeneral admission and reserved seating (orange- and red-backed chairs) are now available to the general public. The Dubois County Bombers host the Western Divisional playoff game August 7, and they want you at League Stadium to support the team.
