Lillian K. Fritz, 86, St. Anthony

Lillian K. Fritz, 86, St. Anthony, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

Lillian was born in Schnellville, Indiana, on August 21, 1930, to Anthony and Helen (Greenwell) Nordhoff. She married Lawrence L. Fritz on February 21, 1952, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville. He preceded her in death in August 29, 1992.

Lillian was a homemaker and worked as a sales woman for Schum Monument company in Dale for 25 years. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Kristy D-Esposito and her husband Frank of Huntingburg and Jill Hasenour of St. Anthony; one son, Jeff Fritz of St. Anthony; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marge Knies of Huntingburg; two sisters-in-law, Karen Nordhoff of Jasper and Sally Nordhoff of Indianapolis.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one son, John Fritz; one daughter, Patricia Ebert; a grandson Nick Ebert; four sisters, Lucille Merkel, Helen Merkel, Rosie Gutgsell and Mary Lou Kirst; and four brothers, Charles, Bob, Bill, and Tony Nordhoff, and five siblings who died in infancy and childhood.

Funeral services for Lillian K. Fritz will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016, at Divine Mercy Parish – Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
