Light Up a Life Christmas Tree to support Memorial Hospital care program

Jasper—Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s Family Palliative Care is offering everyone an opportunity to “Light Up a Life” and decorate a community Christmas tree with special ornaments in memory/honor/celebration of loved ones.

The Christmas tree is on display at Hometown IGA at The Crossing until New Year’s Day. For a $5 donation, a dove ornament will be inscribed “in honor,” “in memory,” or “in celebration” of a friend, relative, or loved one – anyone whom the donor wishes to have honored or remembered.

Donation forms are available at the customer service desk at Hometown IGA at The Crossing and at the information desk at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

The “Light Up a Life” Christmas tree is sponsored by Hometown IGA, WITZ/WQKZ Radio, and Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

All proceeds benefit Family Palliative Care, a free service of Memorial Hospital dedicated to providing care and making life as meaningful as possible in the final days of life for both the patient and family. A physician-directed health care team gives symptomatic and supportive care to keep patients comfortable and as alert as possible.
