Letter to the Editor; Biomass may be bad for the environment but health starts internally

Concerning BioMass:

I do agree that all sides must be looked at for any final decision that affects the public. Environmental toxins should not be dismissed for they will and have caused havoc to our immune systems.

Yet our internal environments, which we feed daily with foods that have little or no value, wreak havoc far worse than the environment around us. We continue to consume foods that lack proper nutritional needs for us to function at 100%. Our immune systems are being challenged every day from outside forces which put us in jeopardy.

Given where we stand as a nation that spends more money on health care than any other is a testament of (our) neglect for the bodies we live in. We may be living longer but not healthier. The way we treat ourselves (health wise) it is no wonder the medical community cannot keep up with the rampant onslaught of disease and illnesses! It is not all their fault, they are not responsible for our health care, WE ARE! They are responsible to give proper care and treatment.

Margaret Meade, a world famous anthropologist commented on her findings after studying different cultures of the world, “it is much easier to change a man’s religion than the way he eats”.

Yes, our external environment (air we breathe) is quite important but our internal environment is far more important.Without a good internal environment the external will break us down and shorten our days on this earth or even worse, we live longer attached to tubes or dialysis or dependent upon surgical interventions to survive.
