Letter: Send a message with your votes
This Tuesday, we go to the polls to select who we want to represent us in November’s General Election. It’s not always a good idea to vote on a single issue, but this year, it is imperative that we do exactly that. That single issue is opposition to the Mid-States Corridor.
We may not be successful in keeping those who desperately want the corridor from being on November’s ballot; but, what a message we can send if Mike Braun, Mark Messmer and Shane Lindauer do not win Dubois, Daviess and Martin counties. Imagine the news conferences where they try to explain why their home town wouldn’t support them.
There is an RDA Board meeting tomorrow in Huntingburg that is open to the public. Let’s all try to attend and show the board our solidarity in opposing their continued boondoggle. Ask them the hard questions. Demand the data. Stand united against the Mid-States Corridor project.
As I have said in the past, we can fight city hall and win.
