Letter: Please consider country over party this election
Many must realize they are promoting Donald Trump, a man who took action against our country, a man who is a criminal, a tax cheat, a sexual assault pervert, a man who attempted to overthrow our Constitution (that he swore to defend and protect), a criminal convicted of 34 counts of business fraud by an American trial by jury, a man that constantly lies and admires “strong leaders” like Putin, Chi and Kim Il Jung 111, and steals highly classified defense secrets.
He said, “So what?” when told that his own Vice-President Mike Pence was in danger, thinks American war dead and veterans in general were “losers and suckers,” that John McCain was not a war hero, but rather a loser because he was shot down, captured and tortured. He mentioned to his Secretary of Defense that they should just shoot any protesters and said he would not support the Ukrainian freedom fighters, insinuating that he would give up on them and let Putin have his way.
When I see a Trump flag hanging where an American flag should be, I cannot help but wonder if some folks have forgotten the over a hundred Capitol Police Officers who were severely injured in a Trump-inspired mob attack on our National Capital in his attempt to cling to power.
Anyone with minimal knowledge knows that Trump is NOT a Republican, NOT a conservative, NOT interested in Making American Great Again, only interested in grabbing power again in order to avoid facing several pending criminal charges.
Recently, it has been discovered that he secretly sent his buddy Putin hard-to-find COVID testing kits paid for by US taxpayer’s money at the same time our State Governors were begging for them to save their own constituents.
I would vote for any decent, young, fair-minded, educated person of good moral character. I could never vote for an old, convicted, felonious, mentally ill crime boss to lead our blessed nation. I respectfully ask my friends, neighbors and fellow Hoosiers to please consider country over party this November.
Our country doesn’t need to have a re-run of a Trump administration
