Letter: “For God and Country…”

Greetings, fellow citizens. My family and I are some of the families being sued by the state regarding the Mid-States Corridor. Along with many of you.

I received in the mail this week a donation request from Senator Mark Messmer. 

I have personally known Mark Messmer and his family for decades. I have had several private discussions with him about his support for this road. He knows for a fact that our family is going to lose our homes because of this. Five family homes just on one property.

We elected Braun and Messmer, believing that they would represent us. They all sold us out. Shame on them.

Messmer then signed the letter “For God and Country.”

The letter also referred to quotes from American heroes.

How dare you? I come from a family that has died, fought and still suffers from defending this country. The manner in which you, Mike and Holcomb concealed this road in a bill is pure evil. A betrayal. 

What you people have done is anything but patriotic.
