Letter: An open letter to the GOP caucus for Jasper Mayor

Greetings. Let me first thank you for your service to our community. It is appreciated.

Having said that, I feel the need to opine and remind you all of a few things, if you will.

First and foremost, We The People entrusted each and every one of you with our votes. We all know that local elections have far more impact on our quality of life locally than national elections, for the most part.

However, I feel that those whom we sent to Indy have abandoned us for their own personal gains. 

While I am being sued by INDOT for this Mid-States Corridor, this is bigger than that. Had the wealthy politicians suggested a route through the Ireland flats, for example, I would still protest it as it is not needed.

I simply ask those who are in a position to make these decisions to remember that we elected you to be our voices. 

If this road goes through, this region will cease to exist as we know it.

Do the right things for the right reasons. And not for political favors. 

Whether you realize this or not, the futures of our families depend on your decisions.

May God guide you all to do the right thing.
