Leonard R. Hochgesang, 58

of Jasper, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born in Jasper, Indiana on July 12, 1955 to Carl L. and Mary M. (Burger) Hochgesang. He married Joanne Beck on October 14, 1978 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2003.

Lenny was a member of the JHS Class of 1973.

He had worked for Bob Luegers Motor Company in Jasper for over 40 years.

He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jasper Knights of Columbus # 1584 and Jasper Moose Lodge #117.

Lenny enjoyed golfing and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Lenny is survived by one daughter, Audrey Waters and her husband Joseph, of Memphis, Ind.; one grandson, Landon; one sister,  Susan Durcholz and her husband Randy, of Duff; three brothers, Kenneth Hochgesang and his wife Bert, of Schnellville, Wayne Hochgesang and his wife Irene, of Bargersville, Ind., and Bernard Hochgesang and his wife Betty, of Jasper; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Leonard Hochgesang will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
