Leona M. Berg, 91
Leona M. Berg, age 91 of Saint Anthony, Indiana passed away at 2:50 p.m. Thursday (December 22, 2011) in St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
She was born at Schnellville, Indiana on October 4, 1920 to John and Barbara (Fritz) Schuch. She married Anthony P. (Tony) Berg August 5, 1941 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1980.
Leona for many years worked as a cook in several area restaurants and retired from the Dutchman Inn at Huntingburg, Indiana.
She is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality – St. Vincent DePaul Society and the St. Anthony American Legion Auxiliary.
Leona was an avid quilter and devoted to her family.

- Allen Berg and spouse Linda, Lizton, IN
- Aaron Berg and spouse Susan,
- Brian Berg and spouse Yvonne both of Ferdinand, IN
15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
One sister – Eleanor Eckert, Jasper, IN
One brother – Victor Schuch, Taft, TX
Preceding her in death besides her husband are brothers, Leo, Isadore and Ted Schuch.
Funeral services for Leona M. Berg will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (December 27, 2011) in St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday (December 26, 2011) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Anthony Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
