Leona C. Nigg, 93

Leona C. Nigg, age 93, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, (April 24, 2013), in St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born in Holland, Indiana, February 1, 1920; her parents, John L. and Corella (Schoppenhorst) Mutchman. She married Elmer Nigg February 1, 1947; he preceded her in death on May 14, 2003.

Leona retired as a sales clerk at the 3-D Shopping Center in Jasper.

She is a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and the Women’s Guild of Trinity Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary to Post # 673 in Jasper.

Son, Steve Nigg , Granger, IN

Daughter In-Law, Patricia Nigg, Jasper, IN

One grandson, Christopher Nigg and his wife Lauren, Evansville, IN.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one son, Daryl W. Nigg.

One sister Viola Lauderdale and one brother John L. Mutchman Jr.

Funeral services for Leona Nigg will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (April 27, 2013) in Trinity United Church of Christ with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Pastor Jane Hillman will officiate.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday (April 26, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church. V.F.W. Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Funeral home.
