Leon Pfister, 84
Leon Pfister, age 84, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday (November 14, 2012) at his home in Jasper.
He was born September 7, 1928 in Jasper to Amos and Elizabeth (Streicher) Pfister. He married Theresa Sermersheim February 24, 1949; she preceded him in death March 15, 1991.
Leon retired form Kimball International after 43 years.(General Manager for the Ply-Products Division). He also served on the City of Jasper Utility Board for 10 years.
His memberships; St. Joseph Catholic Church – Past member of St. Joseph Parish Council. Life member of the Jasper Knight of Columbus.
He was very active in the Jasper Little League and Pony League for many years.
His hobbies were woodworking, golf and bowling.

Preceding him in death besides his wife is one son, John Pfister, spouse (Carol). Brothers, Don A. Pfister and Dennis Pfister.
Funeral services for Leon Pfister will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday (November 19, 2012) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday (November 16, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
