Leo A . Rottet, 90

Leo A . Rottet, age 90, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Thursday ( May 10, 2012) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
He was born January 16, 1922 at Louisville, Kenutcky, to Frank J. and Antionette (Gehrig) Rottet. He married Bernice Durcholz on October 3, 1954 at Vincennes, Indiana.
Leo was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from Jasper Engines. He also had worked for the former Jasper Turning Company for many years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post # 673 and American Legion Post # 147.
He was an avid baseball fan (related to Lou Gehrig) also enjoyed woodworking and fishing and playing cards.

Two sons,
- Tim Blackgrave, Jasper, IN
- Kenneth Rottet, Indianapolis, IN
Nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and one great geat granddaughter.
Preceding him in death is one daughter, Diane Kluemper. Five brothers, Alfred, Frank, Joe, Edwin and Clarence Rottet. Two half-brothers, Robert and Alvin Rottet also one sister, Catherine Hulsman.
Funeral services for Leo Rottet will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday (May 15, 2012) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. V.F.W. Post # 673 will conduct military grave side rites.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, (May 14, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the Dubois County Community Foundation.
