Lenas T. Hemmerlein, 89

Lenas T. Hemmerlein, age 89, of Dubois, Indiana, passed away at 8:51 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

He was born at Dubois, Indiana, February 27, 1924 to John F. and Amelia (Meyer) Hemmerlein. He married Harriet L. Neukam October 22, 1944 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2004.

Lenas was a lifelong farmer in the Dubois-Haysville Community.

He is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.

One daughter,

Donna and her husband David Kieffner, Jasper, IN

Two granddaughters,

Danelle Hevron and her husband Greg, Flat Rock, IL

Dionne Commens and her husband Adam, Dale, IN

Five great granddaughters,

Twins; Hannah and Lindsey Hevron and Caitlin Hevron; Ella and Taylor Commens.

Preceding him in death besides his wife are two sisters; Oleta Kalb and Cleda Sendelweck.

Funeral services for Lenas Hemmerlein will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (July 10, 2013) in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Rev. Charla Grieves will officiate.

Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday, (July 9, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
