Leathernecks offer 35-state carry conceal class

The Southern Indiana Leathernecks are coordinating a class for a certificate that allows an individual to carry a concealed weapon in 35 states.
The Utah Concealed Carry Weapons class is being coordinating with Native Executive Security and will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 1 p.m. until about 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 147, 1220 Newton Street, in Jasper.
According to the Leathernecks, they need 15 registered for the class by August 30 or it will be cancelled.
To register for the class, a $20 nonrefundable preregistration needs to be made payable to SILD (Southern Indiana Leathernecks) PO Box 184, Jasper, IN 47547-0184. Additional fees included $65 day of class or before, includes fingerprinting — payable to SILD — and $51 processing fee with mailed application to Utah BCI.
Those interested must be 21 years of age with no felonies and hold a valid Indiana CCW permit (before mailing Utah application).
The prmit is valid for five years and renewal is $15 plus a new photo. No future classes required.
According to SILD, the will be no live firing or testing during the class.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided during the class.
