Lawrence “Larry” E. Stenftenagel, 73, Jasper

Lawrence “Larry” E. Stenftenagel, 73, Jasper, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at home.

Larry was born in Jasper, Indiana on August 5, 1943, to Roman and Lilla Mae (Hopf) Stenftenagel.

Larry was a 1961 graduate of Jasper High School. He worked as a machinist at Dubois Machine Company for 35 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Jasper Moose.

He enjoyed computers and loved spending time with his great nieces and nephews. He liked watching baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and I.U. Basketball fan.

He is survived by four sisters, Donna Schuetter and her husband Jerry of Jasper, Joyce Stenftenagel of Jasper, Cindy Meyer and her husband Jerry of Jasper and Brenda Gehlhausen and her husband Rod of Jasper; four brothers, Melvin Stenftenagel and his fiance Pat Waninger of Jasper, Gerald Stenftenagel and his wife Julie of St. Anthony, John Stenftenagel of Huntingburg and Joe Stenftenagel and his wife Deb of Jasper; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and -nephews

Preceding him in death besides his parents is one brother Ronnie Stenftenagel.

Funeral services for Lawrence “Larry” E. Stenftenagel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Thursday at the church.
