Laura Sue Whitten Morgan, 55

Laura Sue Whitten Morgan, 55, of Elkton, Florida, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015, at her residence in Florida.

She was born November 20, 1959 in Huntingburg, to Robert F. Whitten Sr. and Imelda (Lasher) Whitten.

She graduated from Southridge High School in 1978 and received her graduate degree in photography from the School of Photography in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Laura worked as a licensed boat captain. She enjoyed hunting/trapping and fishing/boating.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert F. Whitten, Sr.

She is survived by her mother, Imelda Whitten of Huntingburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Karen) Whitten, Jr. of Jasper; and two sisters, Amy Whitten of Dallas, Tx. and Jane Whitten of Los Angeles, Cali.

A private funeral mass of Christian burial will be conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with private burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends are invited to attend a public visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. EDT on Thursday, August 27, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Robert F. Whitten, Sr. Endowment Fund c/o Dubois County Foundation.
