Laura R. Kunkler, 89, Huntingburg

Laura R. Kunkler, 89, of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Waters of Huntingburg.

She was born in St. Anthony, Indiana on May 5, 1927, to Leonard and Mary Rose (Englert) Kunkler.

Laura retired from Jasper Rubber Products and had previously worked for GE in Tell City, Indiana. She is a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Campus, Christians Mothers, V.F.W. Auxiliary to post # 673 in Jasper.

Laura enjoyed gardening and county music.

She is survived by two nieces, Brenda Tuggle (Kevin) of Jasper and Glenda Theising (Jeff) of Jasper; sister-in-law, Rose Marie “Toots” Kunkler of St. Anthony.

Preceding her in death are two brothers, Clarence “Ponce” Kunkler and Kenneth Kunkler.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour before services at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
