Larry P. Boehm, 67
Larry P. Boehm, 67, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 10:11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Larry was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on August 17, 1947 to Edward H. and Dorothy (Seifert) Boehm. He married Becky Schmitt on August 8, 1970 in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.
Larry was a member of the United States Navy serving from 1965-1968, and during the Vietnam War. Larry retired to Florida in 2003 from Coca-Cola, where he had been a salesman for 34 years.
He was a member of the Jasper High School Class of 1965, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Dale American Legion Post #444.
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, college football and basketball, going to the casino, and he never met a person he couldn’t strike up a conversation with.
He is survived by his wife Becky Boehm of Jasper; three sisters, LaVerne Lechner (twin) and her husband James, Juanita Boehm, and Beth Waltz and her husband Chris, all of Jasper; three brothers, Allen Boehm and his wife Arlene of Lowell, Ind., Lee Boehm and his wife Kathy of Jasper, and Don (Yog) Boehm and his wife Linda of Jasper; two sisters-in-law, Kaye Hasenour of Butler and Sylvia Ward of Sellersburg; one brother-in-law, John Schmitt and his wife Diane of Phoenix, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Larry P. Boehm will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper. The Jasper American Legion Post #147 will conduct military gravesite rites.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana and one hour before services from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Palliative Care of Memorial Hospital, the Edward H. and Dorothy C. Boehm Community Foundation Endowment, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
