Larry Markos, 78, Santa Claus

Larry Markos, 78, of Santa Claus, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Larry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Trudy (Winkler) Markos. He is the father of three children, U.S. Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander Matthew (Jessica) Markos of Bristow, Vir., Jeremy Markos of Jasper and Karri (Pete) Hillenbrand of Evansville; six beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and Hannah Markos and Isaiah, Maria, Daniel, and Caroline Hillenbrand; three sisters, Vangie Werebach of Niles, Mich., Nancy Vitale of Quebec, Canada, and Mary Ann Parkins of Palos Park, Ill.; one brother, Paul Markos of Battle Creek, Mich.; several nieces and nephews whose lives he touched.

He will be mourned by loving in-laws: Tom and Vicki Winkler, Russell and Linda Winkler, and Steve and Ellen Rexing.

Per Larry’s wishes, his body will be cremated. Visitation will be held at Fuller Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 pm CST with a Memorial service immediately following.
