Larry L. Powell, 75, Otwell

Larry L. Powell, 75, Otwell, passed away at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, (July 17, 2016), in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born in Waverly Kentucky on July 1, 1941 to Willie Norris Powell and Willie (Loree Hunter) Powell. He married Shirley Breidenbaugh on September 17, 1966 in Iva Union Church in Otwell, Indiana.

Larry graduated from Selvin High School Class of 1959. He attended TTI Institute in Evansville, Indiana.
He retired from Kimball Electronic after 42 years. Larry is a member of the Otwell Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed doing woodworking and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Powell; two sons, Lane Kendall of Miami, Ok. and Ryan Kent Powell of Otwell; two grandchildren, Brandon Powell and Kaley Powell; two sisters, Helen Shuck and her husband John Jr. of Blytheville, Ark. and Wilma Clark of Owensboro, Ky.; four brothers, Kenneth Powell and his wife Joanne of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Jerry Powell and his wife Marlene of Dale, Darrell Powell and his wife LaVonne of Holland and David Powell and wife Alice of Holland.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and George Powell.

Funeral services for Larry Powell will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. The Rev. Roy Stilwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Iva Public Cemetery in Otwell, Indiana.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
