Lanny “Joe” Ball, 65, Eckerty

Lanny “Joe” Ball, 65, of Eckerty, passed away on March 15, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Joe was born on October 12, 1951, to the late Ira and Edith (Norman) Ball in Huntingburg.

Joe was an avid sportsman, he loved hunting and fishing, ATV riding, mushroom hunting and he loves playing cards.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Kathy (Ball) Hammond and Geneva (Ball) Mitchell and infant Gene Leon Ball.

Surviving Joe are his wife Billie Ball; children, Melissa (Kerry) Whipking, Melody (Heith) Thewes, Robert (Tamara) Jones, Tim (Debbie) Jones, Stacy (John) Deno; sisters Brenda Ball of Eckerty, Beverly Goodpaster of Arizona, Lucille Enlow of English; brother, Shirley Hensley of Eckerty; grandchildren, Skylar Whipking, Angus Whipking, Brandon Whipking, Cheyenne Whipking, Sydney Thewes, Ronnie Thewes Hunter Thewes, Nicky Jones and Kennedi Jones; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Sunday, March 19, 2017, at 5 p.m., with visitation starting at 2 p.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English. Officiating the funeral service will be Bro. Albert Madden, with cremation following.
