Kimball International earns Innovative Extension Award during CET Experience Conference 

Jasper-based Kimball International won the Innovative Extension Award at Configura’s annual CET Experience conference.

Configura makes CET, software that designers use to plan office and commercial spaces. Its yearly awards honor developers, power users and designers in the commercial interiors and material handling industries.

Kimball won for DesignSuite Integration, a tool built inside CET. It lets designers reach Kimball’s design team and services without leaving their project. Those services include Idea Starters, Quick Quote, Technical Design and Audit. Finished drawings come back into CET when the work is done.

“True innovation isn’t always about creating something new,” said Jill Frazier, Kimball’s director of design solutions and digital tools. “Sometimes, it’s about finding better ways to connect the tools and resources designers already rely on.”

Frazier said the goal is to let designers “spend less time navigating systems and more time focused on design.”
