Kimball Electronics giving circle announces $7,600 in grants

The Kimball Electronics Gives (KEG) employee giving circle is happy to announce the recipients of its 2019 grants.

A total of $7,600 was available to grant to worthy causes; $5,700 was awarded to five 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organizations based in Dubois Count and $1,900 was awarded to two 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organizations based outside of Dubois County.

The grant recipients based in Dubois County: Southwestern Indiana Child Advocacy Center Coalition ($2,200); Community Chew ($1,000); Survivors of Suicide ($1,000); Crisis Connection ($1,000); VFW 673 Jasper ($500). The grant recipients based outside of Dubois County: Anderson Woods Summer Camp ($1,000) and Otwell Miller Academy ($900).

The decision on who received grants and their respective monetary value was solely employee-driven. Volunteer employee-partners of the giving circle, each paying a minimum $120 annually, selected the winners. This year, there were 38 KEG partners. Last year was the first year that KEG began offering grants. To date, $13,600 has been granted through KEG.

The Dubois County Community Foundation manages the Kimball Electronics Endowment and KEG funds.
