Kerry Joseph Hopf, 61, Otwell

Kerry Joseph Hopf, 61, of Otwell, Indiana, passed away on April 12, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 28, 1964, to Kenneth and Rosemary Hopf.

Kerry is survived by his daughters, Rachel (Bruce) Whitehead, Ariel (Shaine) Eck, Sarah Hopf, Micah Hopf, and Rebekah (Ryan) Nicholson; his grandchildren, Kole, Blakely, Vander, Homer, and Hudson; his siblings, David (Teresa) Hopf, Brenda (Philip) Kern, Connie Goebel, Roger (Tracy) Hopf, Sharon Fort, and Patti (Richard) Schwartz; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Rosemary Hopf, and his niece, Payton Hopf.

Kerry worked as a coal miner for many years and was known for his strong work ethic. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

In accordance with Kerry’s wishes, no visitation or funeral services will be held. A Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana, on Saturday, May 2, at 8:00 a.m.
