Kenneth W. Weisman, 83

Kenneth W. Weisman, age 83, of Otwell passed away at 1:20 a.m. Wed. (January 11, 2012) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

He was born at Portersville, Indiana on July 29, 1928 to William J. and Leora (Krodel) Weisman. He married Eldena Hoffman on May 11, 1954 at St. John’s Church, Boone Township.

Kenneth was a Korean War Veteran.

He was a retired farmer and also worked at the Otwell Plant Foods and the Dubois County Recycling Center for many years.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Ireland Sportsman Club, the Jasper V.F.W. Post #673, and the Indiana Farm Bureau. He held various offices at St. John’s Church and the Indiana Farm Bureau.

He enjoyed fishing and watching I.U. sports.

Preceding him in death are one sister, Dorothy Ziegler, and three brothers, Linus, Carl, and Delbert Weisman.

Funeral services for Kenneth W. Weisman will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (January 14, 2012) at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military graveside rites. The Rev. Jacob Hoffman will officiate.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday (January 13, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and two hours before services (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.) at the church on Saturday.
