Kenneth R. Pancake, 76, Winslow

Kenneth R. Pancake, 76, Winslow, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Dubois County on January 29, 1940, to Alva and Margaret (Eilert) Pancake. He married Marilyn Jones on June 25, 1966 in Velpen, Indiana.
Kenneth graduated from Otwell High School and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Whirlpool Corporation in Evansville where he had worked for 36 years. He was a member of the Winslow General Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school. Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Cynthia Roberts and husband Daniel of Dillwyn, Vir., and Teresa Arteberry and husband Eric of White House, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Chelsea Roberts and Brett Arteberry; brothers, Louis Pancake and wife Mary of Velpen, Marvin Pancake and wife Shirley of Velpen and Roger Pancake and wife Terry of Jasper; sister, Mildred Neukam and husband Bill of Dubois.
Preceding him in death are one brother, Lloyd Pancake; stepsister, Joyce Allgood; and stepmother, Ada Pancake.
Funeral services for Kenneth Pancake will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Velpen. The Rev. Terry Beadles will officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 will conduct military grave side rites.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Winslow General Baptist Church or to a favorite charity.
