Kenneth R. Hochgesang, 72, Jasper

Kenneth R. Hochgesang, 72, of Jasper, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
Kenneth was born in Washington, Indiana on September 9, 1944 to Martin J. and Louise (Bachman) Hochgesang.
He retired from Crop Production Services in Jasper and previously worked for Jasper Plant Foods. He was a member of the Ireland Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed farming, especially driving tractors, and visiting with friends.
He is survived by two sisters, Emma Hochgesang-Noffsinger and husband Tom of Cornelia, Ga. and Monica Hochgesang-Roy of Chandler; two brothers, Larry Hochgesang of Jasper and Mike Hochgesang and wife Pat of Jasper; nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Mary Rodriguez and Martha A. Hochgesang; and one brother, Charles Hochgesang.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth R. Hochgesang will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Kenny was a good man with a huge heart. I’m going to miss him dearly! I’ll miss all his silly messes, his stories, his humor, just everything. I’m so glad that I met Kenny and his family! R.I.P
