Kenneth L. Mervin, 88

Kenneth L. Mervin, age 88, of Jasper passed away at 6:05 p.m., Monday (February 11, 2013) at the Timbers of Jasper.

Kenneth was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 5, 1924 to Harry and Alta Mervin. He married Alberta M. Herzog on June 10, 1948, and she preceded him in death on November 26, 2009.

He was a member of the United States Marines and Air Force, serving in WWII and during the Korean War, and then was in the Air Force Reserves for many years.

He was an independent agricultural equipment salesman for many years, and he and his wife Alberta owned and managed Countryside apartments.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, and a past member of the Evansville Water Ski Club.

He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying along with water skiing, playing cards and travelling.

Funeral services for Kenneth L. Mervin will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday (February 15, 2013) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military graveside rites.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service time on Friday at the church.
