Kenneth Creighton Christian, 90, of Evansville, passed away at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

He was born November 24, 1924 in Poynor, Missouri, to Henry and Zepha (Hammond) Christian. He married Gloria Starks on October 25, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Christian was a retired electronics sales and service technician and owner of Bosler T.V. in Evansville. Kenneth was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, during which he received the Purple Heart Medal. He also served in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Hubert Christian and Charles Orden Christian; and one sister who died in infancy.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Christian of Evansville; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah (Dan) Bean of Huntingburg; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jennifer (John) Green of Nashville, Tenn.; and two great grandsons, Daniel and Luke Green both of Nashville, Tenn.

Private funeral services for Kenneth Christian will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail.

Brother Jerald Tackitt will officiate at the service.

Visitation will be held at the Nass & Son Funeral Home from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning the day of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lipscomb Academy K-12 Scholarship Fund in memory of Kenneth Christian.
