Kathy S. Schitter, 59, Newburgh

Kathy S. Schitter, 59, of Newburgh, formerly of Ireland, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Kathy was born in Jasper on January 25, 1959, to Paul C. and Alma V. (Sendelweck) Schitter.

She was a 1977 graduate of Jasper High School and then graduated from Tri-State Beauty College. She was a licensed beautician who worked in the Evansville and Newburgh area for 25 years.

She enjoyed music, crafts, and spending time with friends, family and her dog, Yadie.

Surviving is her mother, Alma Schitter of Ireland; one brother, Jerald Schitter (Elaine) of Jasper; three sisters, Janet Schitter of Jasper, Karyn Borden (Randy) of Portersville and Lori Hopf (Kurt) of Celestine; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her father, Paul C. Schitter.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathy Schitter will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
