Kathy L. Tolbert, 67, Loogootee

Kathy L. Tolbert, 67, of Loogootee, formerly of Shoals, passed away on October 14, 2024, at her residence. 

She was born October 29, 1956, in Shoals, the daughter of Walter and Pauline (Wininger) Murray. 

She graduated from Shoals High School, worked as a cook at the Martin County Security Center and was a member of the Shoals Nazarene Church.  

Survivors include one brother, Victor Murry; one sister, Geneva Engen; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Tolbert; one daughter, Kasey Murray; one sister, Barbara Freeman; one brother, Bryan Murray: and step dad, Robert “Hale” Murray.  

Cremation was chosen with a memorial service and committal to be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery at a later date.  

Memorial contributions may be made to The Queen-Lee Chapel to assist with final expenses.  

The Queen-Lee Chapel of George Family Funeral Care has been entrusted with the arrangements.
