Kathryn Sue Astrike, 78, Noblesville

Kathryn Sue Astrike, 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside on January 20, 2026, in Noblesville, Indiana.

She was born on March 21, 1947, in Milan, Indiana, to Roy and Marjorie Conaway, both of whom preceded her in death.

She has a younger brother, Ron Conaway, presently living in Martinsville. Kathy spent her formative years in Martinsville, Indiana.

Kathy attended Vincennes University, where she met the love of her life, James Ray Astrike, with whom she shared over 58 years of marriage. They were married on July 01, 1967. Together they built a home rooted in love and family in Needmore, Indiana.

She is survived by Jim and their two children: Derek Astrike (Shannon) and Tisha Gaumer. There are four grandchildren: Maddie Gaumer, Sophia Gaumer, Lexi Astrike, and Shane Astrike. 

Kathy was also the biggest sports fan with whatever sport her kids or grandkids were participating in. She attended as many events as possible to watch them, including dance, soccer, horse jumping, basketball, football, baseball, and hockey. Going to the Colts’ preseason practice was always a fall highlight. 

She will be remembered for her compassion for others, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to family, faith, and community.
