Kathleen Jane Fleck, 71

Kathleen Jane Fleck, 71, of St. Anthony, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at home.

Jane was born in St. Anthony, Indiana on October 23, 1943 to Anthony and Leona (Schuch) Berg. She married Jerome Fleck on May 16, 1968 in St. Anthony, Indiana.

She worked as a long term cook for Southeast Dubois Schools. She worked at St. Vincent DePaul and she was a bookkeeper for Hilary Blessinger Accounting and Fleck Construction for many years.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, a past member of the St. Anthony Christian Mothers, St. Anthony Community Club, and the St. Anthony Conservation Club.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome Fleck of St. Anthony; one daughter, Lisa Gutgsell and her husband Blake of Schnellville; one son, Dean Fleck and his wife Gerry of St. Anthony; five grandchildren, Adam, Cole, and Moriah Fleck, and Harrison and Max Gutgsell; three sisters, Karen Brames and her husband Herman of Trinity, Fla., Ruth Schroeder and her husband Charlie of Green Castle and Martha “Mert” Birk and her late husband, Mike Birk of Jasper; three brothers, Allen Berg and his wife Linda of Lizton, Ind., Aaron Berg and his wife Susie of Ferdinand and Brian Scott Berg and his wife Yvonne of Ferdinand; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Kathleen Jane Fleck will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

St. Anthony Parish will pray a rosary at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
